The Next Phase of a New Start - Hitting for the Waves??

Ready! Get set! 1, 2, 3!...

Are we ready for any races or storms that will come our way in this new term? If you have not, better find a shield or armour to avoid any hails that come along your way soon. Do remember that any challenges that come your way will always get harder than the first phase, so do not remain in your comfort zone if not you will get hit, rot and be washed away.

At the meantime, no matter how strong the storm you may face ahead, always find a safe shore to anchor in. Do not give up. The greatest tragedy for any sailor is to be swept away, drowned and swallowed by the greatest waves that come along their way. Responsibility and quick response to situations will play an important part in a sailing journey as a captain never forgets about his crew that have embarked in a sailing trip with him. Leave no man behind. Everyone is in the same boat as you when the storm strikes. By now, you should have discovered that you have not been travelling alone. :)

So have great fun sailing! Enjoy your journey as this will be written in your life chapter and hopefully you will be one of the main characters in others' life chapters too. :)

See you in 2 weeks time as I enjoy my "green prison" expedition. :) Till then, stay tune to "thetimerrecords".

Interesting Holiday 3

- Holidays should be well spent. A period of time for recuperation, reflection and implementation. -

Did you manage to do what you always wanted to do during this past holidays? If you did, keep it up. If you did not, no matter what your reasons were... just try again for the next holidays. Determination is the word of the day.

I had been reminded once again that determination is to surpass your confidence and physical threshold and seeing the task through until completion - another way to describe it would be "mind-over-body" (an army term).

Seeing my great "little" pals who were so determined to learn how to cycle, they have rejuvenated and energized me to rethink my attitude and philosophy towards work and play.

Generally, I had a great fun-filled holiday. I would also exclaim that it would be my best holiday that I had spent since my army graduation in 2006. :)

Let us embrace ourselves for more fun and greater challenges as we move into Term 3 and final term of 2008. :P

Till then be yourself and have fun. :)

Interesting Holiday 2

Hey folks! So how did you spend your first and second week of your holidays?

I had a very draggy school break for the past week. Everything seemed to crawl like a snail in school. Guess it's a post-school term symptom. The only time that I had the "battle mood" was on Friday. It was my first time visiting the Bukit Chandu and Kent Ridge Park. :) It is hard to describe the feeling I had experienced with the IT students who were there for a video shoot for their video production.

You should take a look at the magnificent backdrop view. One will feel refreshed after looking at the view especially after a tiring sparring moment with the students. :P

Some photos for your viewing purposes. :)

Interesting Holiday

Sigh! Don't you find time flies real fast when you are enjoying your holidays? No matter what, I hope you are enjoying your school break just like how I am enjoying mine.

This is the first batch of "I Care for Technology" lover pioneers.

I had started my week with a group of vibrant pioneers, tagged as "I Care for Technology" lovers who underwent great pains to get the technology equipment in working condition again.

The purpose of this biannual event is to inculcate responsibility and leadership values in our IT students. During the event, these IT pupils, who are the key users for the school's ICT equipment, learn how to organise, maintain and implement ICT care management in which they could also adopt such skills at home.

I'm so glad to see the eight of them working together to make things happen even it seemed impossible. Great work done! Thanks for your hard work! Let's go for the second round man! See you in Semester 2.

Reappearance From No Where - GSS

Mini thots: It has been a long time since I last jotted some thoughts over here. I am so glad that I had survived all the stormy moments in my life with little winks that had helped me to stay awake.

Finally, I was able to do something which I had not really done in my life. Guess what?

This is my first time in many years which I had the courage to upgrade my wardrobe. What's more? I've been encouraged to buy a pinky shirt for myself for school wear. Can you imagine me wearing pinky shirt? Oh man!! I would look ...

Anyway, I am excited that I'm feeling the holiday mood which I have not felt for years even during my period of service in my previous job. Therefore, I am going to enjoy it to the fullest though I have to attend reservist training from 24th June to 12 July.

I will be missing all the fun and excitement for the new term, but will be back to join the Wizzy team after my 2nd reservist stint. :)
